  • The Suprematist Nikolai Suetin's coffin design for Malevich's dead body - a handmade wooden replica by Beamalevich

Although Malevich had wished to have one of his architectons installed on top of his coffin before procession and burial in his selected spot in the outskirts of Nemchinovka – just outside Moscow -, it was his fellow Suprematist artist and friend Nikolai Suetin who designed what would indeed become the last mortuary carriage and Kazimir's final deathbed before incineration and further rituals. The “Suetin Coffin”, as the box would be called for the rest of history, accompanied the last memories of those who witnessed the acts of that May 15th of 1935, which finished by an oak tree, underground, by the little town of his choice. This rendition to the Suetin’s ouvre – also referred to as the Malevich coffin -, adapted though to domestic dimensions, is entirely made of wood loyally stacked in layers to resemble the original creation. A coat of white paint imitates the original design, with black stripes on the sides, and a painted black square and a black circle on the top part of the piece end the characterization (see in pictures). The coffin structure has two wood notches on its inside that function as a buffer stop. Design thought by Beamalevich and handmade by Barcelona cabinetmakers in single units, all different from each other. Layered wood parts. The coffin comes mounted as seen on the picture. It resembles a case. Due to the nature of the product, we were not sure initially whether it would be worth replicating. But following both our passion and the current lack of a rendition to this particular item, we let ourselves be pulled by the force of art into its tailor making.   SPECIFICATIONS Materials: precise cut wood, black paint, white paint Characteristics: Hollow inside allows to storage of items of small size such as short stationery objects, a fountain pen, jewellery or anything fitting in a hand case. Buffer stops make the product maintain its original display and precise closing edges. Painted like the original Malevich coffin.
  • A kinetic sculpture designed by Manuel Grases

This piece of art is made to float on air and turn around in circles by the sole force of air and air currents.
Created in Madrid, Spain, it displays an aluminum spine that serves as holding skeleton to a serpentining body. As the name indicates, its shape can remind of the DNA sequence. Once hung, it turns around slowly.
Only 1 DNA Colors Kinetic Sculpture has been made. It is part of a collection of unique kinetic statues designed ad hoc by expert Manuel Grases, who also creates roundabout art, modern style decorative artifacts, and such. These hanging mobile sculptures are edited by Beamalevich.
Kinetic art involves some aspect of movement. This can include electric motor-powered sculptures, artworks that move in response to the wind, or optical illusions that give the impression of movement (like Op Art).
Very popular during the 1950s, its origins can be traced back even to the 1800s, with sculptors like Auguste Rodin trying to capture movement in their works.

  • Unique Sand Pendulum which draws by inertia, by Beamalevich

The movement of the plate and pendulum, that swirl and move with independent motion, traces unique designs on the sand. Physicists see them as a demonstration of the Theory of chaos; others see the Lissajous curves written on the sand. Still, others experiment the relaxing appeal of the pendulum drawing infinite figures on the sand. The pendulum is made of stainless steel and leaves a trace on the extremely fine, white quartz sand. Hand assembled in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. A collaboration between BeaMalevich and Dieters Holzspielzeug Company from Germany.   SPECIFICATIONS Dimensions: Diameter: 36 cm // 14.2 in Height: adjustable Weight: 4.7 kg // 10.4 lbs Includes: 1 x metal plate for sand with anchors 3 x metal wire, adjustable 1 x metal wire with metal needle pendulum Model: Beamalevich Sand Pendulum
  • White medium Spatial Construction in wood, inspired in Gustav Klutsis

A white handpainted version of Gustav Klutsis' structural design, taken, interpreted and raised by Beamalevich. If Tatlin had his Monument to the Third International design turned into a real-life sculpture, we made sure the same would be done with Gustav Klutsis' Spatial Constructions plans. An art teacher and soviet propaganda pioneer himself, Klutsis' experimentation on the field of architecture never built up beyond paper - until now. This moving sculpture created from his most interpretable design of what a Spatial Construction was is part of a collection of a total four structures. This one being the next bigger size after our regular production one, it has been entirely made of recycled wood by Barcelona local woodcrafters, manually glue-free assembled piece by piece. Made under supervision of Beamalevich - a Barcelona-based art editor and curator specialized in Malevich and European avant-garde artists -, this Spatial Construction becomes the only physical rendition to Gustav Klutsis' avant-garde architectural mentality and building/construction vision. His ideas, visibly, seem to match all eras gone by since their birth. The inner structures of the sculpture are movable and even removable, allowing endless possibilites of arrangement as a form of respecting the artist’s echoing plasticity even on the squarest of the forms. Piece 1/4 of Beamalevich's Spatial Constructions collection. Slightly bigger than our regular production model (same size as our "Medium" sized one) and painted in broken white, which gives it the extra weight and different finish as well as a new visual concept.   SPECIFICATIONS Dimensions: Length: 75.3 cm // 29.6 in Width: 17.8 cm // 7 in Weight: 736 g // 1.6 lb // 26 oz Material: PEFC-Certified Oregon pine wood, white paint Shipment includes insurance

  • A replica of Kazimir Malevich’s ALPHA architecton (Arkitekton Al’fa, 1920), on sale as a unique piece.

This reproduction, entirely made of wood, is an individual creation by local wood crafters based on the ALPHA’s interpretation by Beamalevich, a Barcelona-based art editor and curator collective specialized in Malevich and European avant-garde artists. The ALPHA Architekton is a multilevel horizontal platform. With its shape, it can remind of a futuristic vehicle, ready to take off and to move either very slow or too quickly. A "planit" in the words of Malevich, it is a clear example of the artist attempts to extrapolate the Suprematist pictorial system into architecture and design. The lack of any motif, window or door, even proportion reference is a motive behind the artist designing and creating the Arkhitektons - to propose his conviction that new architecture can arise simply from the assembly of abstract volumetric masses rather than from a design based on the use. The size of the item is exactly as the original ALPHA Architecton. The blend of different woods is glued together and covered with several coats of white paint. Made in Barcelona in 2008.   SPECIFICATIONS Dimensions: Length: 80.5 cm // 31.7 in Height: 31.5 cm // 12 in Width: 34 cm // 13.4 in Weight: 3 kg // 6.6 lb // 105 oz Shipment includes insurance

  • A replica of Kazimir Malevich's GOTA plaster architecton (Arkitekton Gota, 1923) is here displayed, on sale as a unique piece.

This reproduction, entirely made of wood, is an individual creation by local wood crafters based on the GOTA’s interpretation by Beamalevich, a Barcelona based art editor and curator specialized in Malevich and European avant-garde artists. The GOTA Architekton is a vertical structure, a "planit" in the words of Malevich, and a clear example of the artist attempts to extrapolate the Suprematist pictorial system into architecture. There are references to a skyscraper on its edges, although no specific building to be identified. The lack of information about access, circulation or use on its surfaces is a reason behind the artist designing and creating the Architectons - to propose his conviction that new architecture can arise simply from the assembly of abstract volumetric masses rather than from a design based on the use. The size of the item is exactly as the original GOTA Architecton. The blend of different woods is glued together and covered with several coats of white paint plus a drawn black circle.
